Gradiant to Open Chandler Office as Part of Arizona Expansion

The Phoenix Business Journal’s Amy Edelen met with Prakash Govindan and reports that Gradiant is opening a Chandler, Arizona office to serve its growing semiconductor and data center customer base.

The Chandler site will be Gradiant’s primary Western sales office. Gradiant has 10 technical employees in the Valley and plans to hire up to 100 more over the next year, citing Arizona’s fab buildout with TSMC and Intel as a key driver. “Every one of those fabs depends on a reliable, high-purity water supply to operate.”

The move follows Gradiant’s $2 billion Series E valuation in May and a new contract to run an ultrapure water system for an undisclosed chip manufacturer. Founded at MIT in 2013, Gradiant now has 3,000+ treatment plants across 92 countries.

Gradiant is also opening offices in Syracuse and Philadelphia, a new Global Innovation Center in Houston, and named Dr. Nish Vora managing director, Americas. Vora expects the U.S. order book to hit $1 billion next year.
