Il pezzo riporta Gradiant a un ricordo formativo: il co-fondatore e CEO Prakash Govindan, in giovane et\u00e0, corse incontro a un camion della pubblica amministrazione per raccogliere acqua durante la carenza di acqua a Chennai negli anni '90. Questa esperienza ha plasmato il suo percorso verso un dottorato in ingegneria presso il MIT e, nel 2013, la fondazione di Gradiant insieme a Anurag Bajpayee, altro ex studente del MIT. La tecnologia originale dell\u2019azienda, tra cui l\u2019estrazione del gas vettore, era stata sviluppata per l\u2019industria petrolifera e del gas. Oggi, la stessa tecnologia serve a sostenere un\u2019economia completamente diversa.<\/p>\n

Come afferma Prakash nel suo articolo, Gradiant \u00e8 stato costruito in modo involontario per essere il veicolo perfetto per servire le cinque componenti dell\u2019economia dell\u2019intelligenza artificiale: i chip, i data center, l\u2019energia, i modelli e l\u2019intelligenza artificiale applicata. Oggi queste cinque componenti rappresentano la maggior parte delle entrate di Gradiant \u2013 un cambiamento che l\u2019articolo attribuisce alla volont\u00e0 di Gradiant di affrontare problemi che altre aziende non vogliono affrontare.<\/p>\n

Steven Lam, Head of Technology, spiega il motivo: i produttori di chip generano flussi di acqua ultrapura e rifiuti cos\u00ec complessi che quasi tutta la tecnologia di Gradiant \u00e8 dedicata a risolvere questi problemi.
