Directional Solvent Extraction (DSE™) is a Zero Liquid Discharge desalination technique which uses a liquid directional solvent to extract fresh water from saline brines. Proclaimed by the Scientific American as one of the top ten inventions of 2012, DSE is being developed at Gradiant for application in industrial water treatment including offshore oilfield water treatment.
Ion Caging is a closed-loop softening technique that is under technology development in Gradiant’s labs. It is being designed to reduce water softening chemical costs by 50%.
Gradiant has in-house capabilities to design and deploy membrane systems for industrial water treatment applications including low salinity desalination and sulphate removal applications. Gradiant’s lab is equipped to perform full panel water analytics.
